I love a good beer, and it’s the perfect way to kick off a hot summer weekend.
This beer recipe has everything you need to make a great one.
Ingredients 1 1/2 gallons beer (or 2 1/4 quarts if you like a more full bodied beer) 1 cup ice 1 cup cold water 1/3 cup sugar (you can add more sugar if you want) 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/16 teaspoon cinnamon (optional) Directions 1.
Make the ice.
Combine all ingredients, and set aside.
The easiest way to do this is to take a small spoonful of ice and swirl it around in your palm.
This will make the mixture frothy and smooth.
You can also pour it into a cocktail glass or stir it in a small bowl.
Make your ice.
Mix all ingredients in a large saucepan, and heat over medium heat until it is nearly boiling.
Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely.
Put the ice in a saucepan.
Stir the beer into the mixture until it forms thick ice crystals, about 3 minutes.
Cool the ice completely before pouring into your glass.
Stir in the sugar.
It is very important to stir this before adding the sugar to the ice, so that it does not over-extract.
When the mixture is completely chilled, add the flour.
If you don’t have a mixer, a whisk will do just fine.
Top the glass with the cinnamon.
The cinnamon should be spread on top of the ice and add a nice sparkle to the drink.
Top with the salt.
The salt is a very subtle addition that will add a subtle sweetness to the beer.
Pour into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon.
